E2K7 stuck mailbox
Exchange 2007 - I made the mistake of deleting an account via ADUC on the DC without having deleted the mailbox first. Now in the main Recipient Configuration->Mailbox I have a mailbox which I cannot do anything with. I tried Remove-Mailbox but it says it can't as the account is not found. I recreated the account but there doesn't seem to be a way of connecting the two.It strikes me that MS really messed things up, this would never have happened in E2K3.can anyone suggest a way of getting rid of this stuck, unwanted mailbox?Thanks.Next time I'll remember to remove the mailbox first.I.T. It takes sometime, how long did you wait? Or run below cmdlet to mark it disconnected forcefully. Clean-MailboxDatabase Database Name Once you run cmdlet, you will be able to see mailbox in Disconnected Mailbox container and can reconnect with any account.Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Hi, yes that did the trick. I ran the Clean-Mailboxdatabase command and it moved it to the Disconnected mailboxes.ThanksI.T. Manager International House London
