E-mail that has been received appears as a draft

Having a weird problem where in Outlook 2013 e-mails that have been received are showing as a Draft message in the Inbox. This is only happening very occasionally. I can't find a pattern in the messages it is happening to. The message only shows in the inbox, not in the drafts folder.

Looking on-line there appear to be other users having similar issues:

These either relate to Eset antivirus (I'm using Sophos) or do not have a solution.

Nobody else has access to the mailbox. The messages also show as a draft in OWA (Exchange 2013) but this could be because they have been modified somehow in Outlook.

Any ideas?

Here's an example message in the Inbox:

Hi,

How often does this issue happen? If possible, we may try to exit Outlook and use OWA for a period of time to see if this issue will happen again.

Are you using Outlook in cached Exchange mode or online Exchange mode? If you are using cached Exchange mode, please also try to switch to online Exchange mode to see the result.

In addition, we may try to set an exception for the Outlook data files in the Sophos and then test the issue again. You can contact the support for Sophos to get the steps to do it. Please let me know the result.

It's happening very rarely so the user isn't keen on using OWA. The user having the issue only has a few examples, I can't spot a commonality between them. Outlook is in online mode, the user is connecting through Citrix to one of four RDS servers. No other users on the same servers have experienced the issue. I'll try setting up the AV exclusions and see if it makes any difference.
