Dynamic Distribution groups -recipientfilter switch
Does anyone know if the -recipientfilter option in creating a dynamic distribution group will accept any AD object attribute that is visible when using adsiedit to view the ldap properties of a user object.
aka if we have some custom atrributes in each object, use the -recipientfilter option to build the group from this

No, it won't. Only the properties that OPATH recognizes are usable.

Exchange 2007 uses OPATH filter to replace the LDAP filters of previous versions.
Address List and EAP filter upgrades
with Exchange Server 2007
OPATH recipient filtering for
Exchange Server 2007

Are they the same for 2010? So safe to assume i can't create a dynamic dist group based on if a user is a member of a current ACL group (one that isnt a universal group) or based on a attribute of there Ad object..

That depends on the property you're expecting to use. If it's in the
list then you can use it.
