Duplicate folders in Outlook 2010

Hi, I've just discovered this site... hope you might be able to help me?  I'll apologise in advance - I'm not an "IT Pro"!!!

Yesterday I moved Outlook 2010 from one computer to another by importing the .PST file from my old computer to the new one.  It's working fine except for one small problem.

It's showing me two sets of the Default folders - Inbox, Sent, Deleted, Drafts.  One set shows all email activity BEFORE yesterday, the other set shows all email activity AFTER yesterday.

Obviously I would like one set of Default folders showing everything, rather than splitting it up like this!

I assume this is some sort of problem with a duplicate .PST or something to do with my profile, but I'm not "tekky" enough to solve it.  I'd appreciate any help or suggestions!!

many thanks, D

I would like to suggest you an Outlook Duplicate Remover Software to remove duplicate MS Outlook items like emails, calendar items, contacts,etc..Outlook Email Remover software is user-friendly, self-explanatory, and easy to understand interface. Once my friend had the similar problem. I suggested him to use this tool. After using this software, his issue has been resolved.

Note: Run its demo version before move further.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

"One set shows all email activity BEFORE yesterday" - Let's call it set A.

"the other set shows all email activity AFTER yesterday" - Let's call it set B.

A simple fix is to move all the items from set A to set B, then delete all the folders of set A.

For example, in the Inbox of set A, press Ctrl + A, right click on one of the messages, select Move. Select the Inbox of set B as the target folder, then all the messages will be moved.

Do the same for all folders like Sent, Deleted, Drafts. After all the emails are moved, deleted each folders in set A by right-clicking on it, select "Delete Folder".

Note: Please make sure set B is the working set, that is, make sure new incoming emails are in Inbox of set B, new sent emails are in the Sent folder of set B, drafts are saved in the Drafts folder of set B. If the working set is set A, please make set A as the target folder then delete set B.

If you have anything not clear, please provide a snapshot of your Outlook navigation pane, so that I can know the scenario better.
