Drop FileGroupDescriptor to email body editor in Outlook 2013

Hi.

I have some problem when I drop attachment into email body editor in Outlook 2013 (x86). In my app I set FileGroupDescriptor, FileGroupDescriptorW and FileContents with TYMED.TYMED_ISTREAM. So I receive "The operation failed" warning.

I observe events in OutlookSpy for current email, and only one I can see - AttachmentRemove (IDispatch) event after I have dropped attachment

But when I drop to special attachments field, all is OK:

In ClipSpy I can see my data object:

With Outlook 2010 and 2007 all works good either I drop to body editor or to special attachments field.

So, does Outlook 2013 require some additional data to be presented? Or what actions can be wrong?

Thanks.

Sincerely, Igor.

Yes, I develop an application that can drag files out of app. Our files are stored in database.

Hi,

Which kind of application are you developing? If it is a normal application, I suggest you post the issue to the forum based on the specific language. If you are developing an Outlook add-in, I will move this thread to Outlook for Developers forum.
