I am able to drag and drop files from file explorer to html 5 web site.  Why can't I drag and drop outlook attachment to the same web site?  What is the difference between the two?

In terms of development, what need to be done to make it work?  If there is more than one way, please, list them.

It's not supported to directly drag and drop Outlook attachment to a website.

Based on my understanding, the attachment in Outlook email is stored in Outlook data file (.pst or .ost), which is not in a format that can be saved directly. So, we have to first convert it to a file that can be read by dragging it to your desktop.
