Download *complete* Office 2013 offline installer...

Hi,

We need to tank some new notebooks with the Office 2013 ProPlus installer.  I followed the instructions here:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36778

... and created the following download.xml file:

<Configuration>
  <Add SourcePath="\\David\Felles$\O365-1" OfficeClientEdition="64" >
    <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail">
      <Language ID="nb-no" />
    </Product>
  </Add>  -->
</Configuration>

cmdline: C:\O365\setup.exe /download C:\O365\download.xml

After a while the download starts and continues for around 20 minutes, but it stops always at the same spot:

... many .CAB and .DAT files are downloaded but no .msi or .exe file. I suspect the download is not completed.

The process has been repeated three times but stops at the same filesize every time. What am I doing wrong? The drive has 300+ gig free space...

Thanks for help on this.

regards Tor

Hi,

You will not see any .msi or .exe files in the Click-to-Run for Office 365 products and languages sources. This is the expected behavior.

Unlike the MSI-based version (traditional version) of Office, to install Click-to-Run products from an on-premises location, you will need to use the Office Deployment Tool with the /configure command and the customized Configuration.xml file (not by double-clicking the .MSI or .exe file).

For more details about how to download and deploy Click-to-Run for Office 365 products by using the Office Deployment Tool, please refer to these TechNet articles:

Hope this helps.
