Downgrade license
Is there a way to downgrade Exchange from enterprise to standard? We only discovered our server is Enterprise edition. Perhaps it is because we are using the Select scheme and entered wrong license number.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but no you cannot downgrade, only upgrade. Link is for 2010, but applies to other versions: From: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232170.aspx "Product keys can be used for the same edition key swaps and upgrades only; they can't be used for downgrades. You can use a valid product key to move from the evaluation version (Trial Edition) of Exchange Server 2010 to either Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition. You can also use a valid product key to move from Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition. "Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Hi, It's unable to downgrade Exchange from enterprise to standard. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin-MSFT
