Domainprep never ran
Good afternoon, I have a customer who is running Windows 2003 SP1 (AD)and Exchange 2003. When we tried to launch Microsoft Exchange Best Practices Analyzer v2.8 we received the following error on screen: "No Exchange organization container found in domain." Following a web search in Technet, the following step is recommended:Must execute a /DomainPrep on the domain. ref: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997628.aspx Is it recommended to launch a DomainPrep in a production environment where hundreds of users are already on Exchange 2003 ? What will be the impact on the production environment (AD, schema, users, etc..) How to mitigate the risk? Thank you in advance, Luis

Hi, No harm in running domainprep again, but I am not sure that it will help. If there is permissions issues it would log a lot of events in the application log. Are you using the netbios name ofa domain controller in the selection field for DC?? Leif
