Does moving public folder content change edb size?
Windows server 2003 SP2, Exchange server 2003 SP2 STDMy Public folder store is at 65Gb and growing. I replicated about 10Gb worth of folders onto a second server, and then removed the replica from the first server, hoping that the database size would be smaller now. I then did an offline defrag on the public folder database of the first server. But it hardly made any difference in the size (about 64Gb now). Am I wrong to assume that the database would reduce in size if I moved the replica to a different server, and removed it from the original server?

Hi,If you remove a replica from a public folder database space should be regained.Wait for online maintenance to run and look for event 1221 - this should tell you how much space can be regained by running an offline defragmentation.Leif
