It is not me that configured it. I am asking on behalf of some customers using Exchange Archiving. I've been reading up on the service, and I wonder if their disappearing categories when archived has something to do with Exchange's "Default Archive and Retention Policy"? Maybe they haven't configured anything, only activated the service?

Ok, I understand. I'm on deep water here because I've never configured or used this archiving service myself (my company does, so I probably did, but I didn't set it up). I'm usually pretty good at finding solutions, and that's my mission now, and I ended up here. I would really appreciate it if someone would guide me a little around this. Maybe I have to rephrase the question...I don't know...but I try to get a clue...so, please correct me, don't know if I've phrased it right. In this case they are using Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010.
The main question is: Is it possible to keep the category of the mail that is archived in Exchange?
Or, as they asked now: Our question is whether categories of mail in existing Exchange retained into the automatic archiving solution for Microsoft?- Edited by Chris-Michael T. Sannes 21 hours 29 minutes ago
