Does Changing ISP require a static IP if the Exchange Server is off site?
I am in the process changing ISP for my our client with Hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007. The DNS records are managed by another company. Does changing ISP require a static IP if the Exchange Server is managed by another company?

I assume you are chainging ISP for your company not a place where Exchnage is stored, so the answer would be no. However I would verify with company hosting your exchange maybe you are connected to them via IPSec tunnel than of course you have to recofigure the tunnel With kind regards Krystian Zieja http://www.projectnenvision.com Follow me on twitter My Blog

Hi Krystian, Thanks for your response. That is right! Exchange is hosted by another company. I will double check with our exchange hosting company if the exchange is connected via IPSec tunnel which willl definitely require to reconfigure the tunnel. Thanks again for your response.

Hi, If all the clients access their mailbox via OWA or POP3, you don't need worry about anything. The VPN connection tunnel is only used when you try to connect exchange server through MAPI.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
