Distribution lists in the GAL
We have an Exchange Server 2003 part of SBS 2003. Can I edit (add, delete or create) Distribution Lists within the Global Address List from my Outlook Client. I have Domain administrative rights on my network but when I try to modify the DL's within the GAL is doesn't let me.Can you only edit the DL's from Active directory? Thanks

To my knowlegeg you can only edit the DL's from AD. Perhaps if you created a DL OU then delegated that to a end user. If you clamped down an ADMMC on that OU and gave it to them they could manage it.

I think that only works in exchange 2007 not 2003.

Hi,We can check the security of the distribution list. From outlook,we can add/remove members of the distribution list.Note: We need to check "advanced features" in ADUC to get "Security" tab.Besides, please ensure that outlook is in the same site as the GC."Do not have sufficient permissions" error message occurs when you use Outlook Address Book to manage distribution list membershiphttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/318074Regards,Xiu
