Distribution group not showing in mail flow settings to allow me to forward e-mails to - Exchange 2010
Hi there, I have a funny problem at the minute that I just can't work out and would be grateful for some help! I have created a universal distribution group in AD and added some users to it as I would like those people to be setup to have e-mails forwarded to them from a particular mailbox. When I select the mailbox in the EMC I want messages forwarded to and open the mail flow setting / Delivery Options and click forward to and browse to find the desired distribution group I want I can't see it. I have clicked on scope and tried using both options in modify recipient picker scope i.e. all recipients in forest and all recipients in specified OUs. The strange thing is if I click all recipients in specified OUs and click on domain name/distrbutiongroups/subfolder I can see 5 distributions groups but the one I want isn't listed but I can see the one I want in AD so I am at a total loss as to why I can't see the distribution group I want to use to have the emails forwarded to them so any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Tony

Is the group mail-enabled? You shouldn't be mail-enabling a group using the ADUC and you don't say how you created the group. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Please make sure the distribution group is mail enabled. Here is the link How to Mail-Enable a Distribution Group http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997448(v=exchg.80).aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125256(v=exchg.80).aspxPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi folks, Sorry, I've been off sick for a few days so just getting back to this now! Thanks for your posts - I'm not sure what the ADUC thing is so please let me know. After a bit of digging it seems as if that forwarder was setup on an old Exchange 2003 box and before we migrated over to Exchange 2010 so this is the first time I have had to amend it. I think it is something to do with email-enabled groups alright as I created a distribution group and pointing it to the existing OU and it seems to be working ok all be it now pointing to the distribution group name rather than to the path i.e. domain.col/DistrubutionGroups/Name. This must have been the way it was done in older versions, not sure, but everybody seems now to be getting the e-mails forwarded to them ok so problem solved. Thanks for your help! Regards, Tony

It's a MMC snap-in. > >Regards, > >Tony --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
