Distribution List not showing in GAL
We are running Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows 2003 SP2. We have a particular distribution list that doesn't show in the global address book. The distribution list was created a couple of months ago. When I go into Active Directory Users and Computers, find the distribution list, then right click and select "Properties", the properties page is missing the "Exchange General", "E-mail Addresses", and "Exchange Advanced" tabs that the other distribution lists have. Using ADExplorer, I can see that this distribution list is missing a bunch of Exchange attributes that the other ones have. I think it was created incorrectly and that is why it isn't showing in the GAL. Is there something I can do to add the needed attributes so that it will show the next time the GAL updates?

IIRC to provision distribution groups the only Exchange attribute it needs at a minimum is the mailNickname. Use your ADexplorer and set this value to the name of the DL, wait for replication and see if the tabs show up.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Mail-enable it. ( right-click on the group in ADUC with ESM installed) If its already mail-enabled, disable and re-enable.

I think I found the fix. Under ADUC, right click on the group, then select "Exchange Tasks". Next select "Establish E-Mail Addresses on Groups". Now when I right click and select "Properties" it shows the additional tabs. Thanks!
