Hi, We run a mixed environment 2003 / 2007 and 2010; and we have a number of distribution groups, nothing complex just members added (no filters). Under 2003 and 2007 we can view the properties and members of the groups; however the same groups under 2010 are showing empty members (even though 2003 and 2007 show members). In Exchange 2010 I have made the group universal; and added extra members but the list still remains empty (for a short second you can see the user added as a member but it disappears). If I click ok and view the distribution group in 2003 or 2007 the members I added via 2010 are there. If I create a new distribution group in 2010 and add members all works fine and I can view the members in 2010/2007 and 2003. Any idea why legacy and converted legacy distribution groups are showing zero members?

Doh, members were hidden via Exchange 2003 (hide membership task).
