Distribution Group Empty in Outlook and OWA, but Populated in AD
Good morning, I have not had any luck finding an answer to this strange issue I am experiencing. I have a static distribution group (Global, SecurityEnabled). The group is static, but populated programatically by custom account management code. In Outlook, the group shows as empty, even though there are clearly members in the group in ADUC/Get-AdGroupMember. When I open the group in OWA, the members list is empty until I refresh, then I see the members, but upon another refresh, they disappear--this consistently alternates between blank and populated on each refresh. Sending emails to the group does not appear to go to anyone--though I have not tried multiple times. The group object and member objects are in a different child domain than the Exchange servers, though the child domains are in the same site. There is only one Hub Transport server in the site, though there are others in other AD Sites. I set the expansion server to explicitly be the HT server in our site, but am still seeing the same issue. Dcdiag is clean for both domains and GCs in each domain appear to be healthy. Any suggestions on things I could try? Thanks!

if you remove all members of the group and add users manually ? then what happens? i guess these users are not disabled.Thiyagu | MCTS/MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE 2003[Messaging] | http://www.myExchangeWorld.com. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

I changed the group type to Universal and the membership appears consistent on all clients now. Thanks for your help!
