Distinguished name (DN) for Exchange 2010 Database
Anyone knows DN for Exchange 2010 database? EX2007 : CN=Mailbox Database,CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=servername,CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=TESTSP,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=testsp,DC=testedu,DC=testsg EX2010 : CN=MBX01,CN=Databases,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=TESTSP,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=testsp,DC=testedu,DC=testsg In Ex2010, Server name is not mentioned in DN. Thanks in advance. Kelvin Teang You have the DN for the Database right there in your output. You'll also see the DN if you run: Get-MailboxDatabase | fl Name,DistinguishedName In Exchange 2010, the databases no longer belongs to a Server. Instead the databases is found at the Organization Level and that is why you see DN=Databases in the DistinguishedName and not DN=Servers Martina Miskovic
