Display shows parts of different sheets.

I have developped (under Windows 7 and Microsoft 2010) an Excel application that startsup with a VBA macro that performs, amongst others, an upload of several data-files. The last statement in this macro is sheet("name").select. On most machines where I run this macro there is no problem at all and at the end really sheet "name" is visible and i can start using the application, no problems at all. The application runs correctly under Windows 7 with Microsoft 2010 as well as Windows 8 with Microsoft 2013.

However on some machines (all are Windows 8, 2 network PC's, 1 standalone laptop) where I start the same application (and also run this upload-macro) it ends with another sheet on the display. When i select a cell in this sheet all of a sudden the display shows on several places parts of other sheets. The more times I select cells the more "strange" data appaers on the display. Furthermore I cannot do anything but closing the application. When I do a startup again exactly the same happens, same erroneous sheet and the same effect on the display.

FYI: Meanwhile I tested this on several stand-alone laptops and PC's with Window 7 with Microsoft 2010 and Windows 8 with Microsoft 2013 and allways there are no problem at all. When trying to solve (or better to create so I can investigate) the problem I always run from USB-stick so this cannot cause the problem.

It is hardly impossible for me to run/test the application on the machines that give problems because unfortunately they are located on the other side of the country and that requires more then 3 hours travelling vv.

Annybody a suggestion what the cause of this problem may be?
