Disk Space on C: partition required for Promoting to DC
Hello, I have a 2003 Standard Server migrated from an aquisition. I would like to make it a Domain Controller but the C: partition is on 8GB with 3GB space left. I have been unsuccessful finding information on the amount of space required for promoting a server to DC and space needed by AD. Anybody know the answer or where to point me? Thanks, Cindy

DC promotion requires less than a GB of space...however it is not recommended to use a DC with such low disk space unless you have substantial number of DCs running in your environment.

We are in the process of migrating a DC that has low disk space. Please find another server and make that a DC.
