Discovery Seach Mailbox corrupted
We have moved from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010. I keep getting this message when I create a new mailbox:
WARNING: The object ifdc.local/Users/DiscoverySearchMailbox {D919BA05-46A6-415f-80AD-7E09334BB852} has been corrupted,
and it's in an inconsistent state. The following validation errors happened:
WARNING: Database is mandatory on UserMailbox.
How do I delete this mailbox? Do I just "remove-mailbox Discovery Search Mailbox” -Discovery -UserPrincipalName
DiscoverySearchMailbox@ifdc.local" ? And then I can recreate it by running setup /prepareSchema and setup /prepareAD? I won't mess up our installation of Exchange 2010 will I...everything
else seems to be running fine...
Thanks,
Cathy

You can delete the Discovery search mailbox from the AD users & computers and also can re-create it by running setup.com /preparead.
this will not mess up anything..

Thanks so much! That did it...now I can go on to removing the old 2007 server.
