Disappearing Web Mail Rules

I have created a couple of rules in my Outlook Web Mail inbox rules. There is one that I only turn on during the weekends, so I 'uncheck' the ON button to turn it off during the week. But when I need to turn it back on the next weekend, the rule has disappeared and so I have to re-create it again. Why is the rule disappearing when I am just turning it Off I am not deleting it?

Thanks, AMOY

I see the same behavior and it's been less than a week, even less than 24 hours.  The disabled rule still shows up in Outlook, though.  I'll ask about it and try to post back here if I find any

Hi,

Each inbox rule that you will create take space in a hidden section of your mailbox. The limit of this section is 64 KB. The actual amount of space a rule uses depends on several factors, such as how long the name is and how many conditions you have applied.

To troubleshoot the inbox rule issue, please run the command Get-InboxRule Mailbox user@domain.com to check the existing inbox rules.

I only have 2 rules for this inbox and they are very simple with only 2 conditions and 2 email distributions to forward to when the rule is applied. Again, this is for the WebMail version, so I'm not sure if it has an even smaller space limitation. BTW, if this matters, this is a shared inbox not my primary inbox. Would the space limitation for rules calculate ALL my rules including the shared inbox? If so, I guess that could be the factor I need to adjust my own rules, not the share inbox rule.

I and several others have reproduced this and nobody thinks it's by design.  I recommend you open a case with Microsoft Support and report it as a bug, which should be handled at no cost.  Please post back with what you find.
