Disable remove personal information from trust center in Word2013

Hi All,

We are facing an issue in Word 2013:

There is an option in Trust center - privacy options - document specific settings to remove personal information from file properties on save. When we open a document with .docx extension, this option is grayed out by default. But when we open an older document with .doc extension, this option is enabled and will remove any past personal information in the document.

In our company it is crucial for us to see different author revisions. I did a lot of searching and unfortunately there is no group policy setting to handle this. Is there a workaround on disabling this option by default for users using older word documents?

"Remove personal information from file properties on save" is document-specific. The option only gets activated, and selected, after you have run the Document Inspector on a document and chosen to to remove document properties and personal information.
