Dialing phone numbers via OUTLOOK, making normal phone calls via PC.
I have a parallel phone line which i connect to my PC phone jack. I use OUTLOOK to dial the phone numbers that i have entered in my contacts list (open a contacts item, click "Actions" then "Call Contact" then select the phone number to call).
My PC can dial the number. The phone of the other party rings. But I have to pick up my parallel phone when the call is made to speak to the other party on the phone.
Does anyone know if it possible to speak to the other party (that is on their phone) using just my PC, via my headphone and boom mike?I don'twant to usea parallel phone. I can just connect the phone line directly to my PC and make calls using my PC.
I often make VOIP calls on SKYPE and speak via my PC, using my earphone and boom mike. Can i do the same for normal phone calls via my phone line and PC?
And can i record phone conversations or VOIP conversations using Microsoft Sound Recorder?
I did not know where to post this question. So i posted it here under General Discussion.

Hi,I want to do exactly the same thing but don't know how to. Please let me know if you do find out.All I know is that I need to have some special modem (full-duplex) to speak using my PC instead of Parallel phone.Kind regards,Wamiqwamiq@msn.com
