Hi Zaineyma,

Based on your description, you tried to add Developer Tab to toolbars but failed. Could you tell me the steps of adding Develop Tab? Did it can be added in Word or PowerPoint? Have you ever tried to open in safe mode?

First I suggest you open excel file in safe mode, running the following command: excel /safe and check if it can add Developer Tab. If it works fine, please check the add-ins in your excel and disable them.

Click File > Excel Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up is a list of COM-Add Ins that are loaded and running.

In order to stop them from running, uncheck the boxes next to the COM add-in and then click OK. Now go back to what you were doing in Excel and if the crash no longer happens, the problem was one of the COM add-ins you had loaded. You can narrow the list down by re-checking COM add-ins in the list until you find the culprit.

Then you can try to check the Excel.officeUI file. The Ribbon and QAT settings in Excel 2010 are stored in officeUI-files in the following folder:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office

Then as shown in the following figure. Find the Excel.officeUI file, Right-click on it and select Properties. In the properties page, please make sure you uncheck Read-only attribute. And then restart Excel file and add Develop Tab check if it works fine.

Please try these methods and let me know if they work. Im glad to help and follow up your reply.
