Deployment question
Hi, My client has ahosted web site on a dedicated remote server. The only job for this machine is serve and deliver web pages and support the use of web services. What technical issues/restrictions are there for installing Exchange Server 2007 on the same machine?. Having read a large number of installation documents I see that various aspects of Network/TCP/IP settings needto be set/altered. At the same time I see that other servers/services (eg: to control spam etc) must be installed. My understanding so far is that I should NOT install on the same machine. Am I correct? Can anyone advise? Regards Andrew

Hi, You would probably have to reinstall everything on the server as it must be running 64 bits OS to support Exchange 2007. You would also have to install active directory on the machine as Exchange 2007 requires that (as I reead your post this server is completely seperated from the customers LAN). So you would need to maintain 2 sets of user accounts (one on the LAN and one on this server). Don't do it!! Leif
