Deploying Offic 365 Pro Plus on Win 2012 RDS Server, using OCT

Hello,

previous i have used OCT to customise installation of office 2012 on a previous network. now i have a requirement to install office 365 pro plus but after doing some reading, I have found that this only works using click-to-run with a configuration.xml. whilst this worked ok in my test lab, there was still the 'first things first' prompt that appeared and also the 'default file types' prompt as well.

I have read this can be rectified by using an office 2013 admx file, which is fine but that doesnt seem to make the 'default file types' prompt disappear.

previously i downloaded the office 2013 ISO from the vlsc portal and used it with OCT. This time i have downloaded the Office deployment tool for click-to-run. Can i use office 2013 install files with OCT but still have the products activated and synced to office 365?

regards,

Hi,

Based on my research,  the Default File Types pop up window cannot be suppressed by using Office Deployment Tool. This is a known issue that we have no way to suppress this dialog, even forced the default file type for Office applications, the box still appears.

Please see the discussion in these thread:

Then, based on our test, we can use office 2013 install files with OCT and activated via Office 365 account. (Please note, we need to complete installation process, log on with Office 365 account, and then Office will be activated)
