Deployed EX2010 now having issues with iPhones and Droids
We just upgraded to Exchange 2010 and still have our Exchange 2007 running, all mail seems to be flowing fine but we are running into an issue with iPhones not being able to connect we get "Unable to verify account information". Droids are also giving
errors like this but we can fix them by moving the accounts from the old server to the new server. iPhones are not fixed by doing this. I ran the activesync test on https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and it passes but I have to ignore the cert trust.
We installed the cert we are using from digicert on one of the failing iPhones and it still fails. Oddly my phone still works fine as does a coworkers and he deleted and reconnected his several times testing it but when I try to connect an iPad with his account
info it fails. I am not seeing any errors in the event logs so this is getting frustrating. I also tried some test tool I downloaded on iTunes and it gave me an error saying "activesync is not available username or password is incorrect" which I know is false
but something is obviously going on.

Ok after much hair pulling I was able to figure out that iPhones on our wireless are not able to even hit the OWA website which led me to trying it after removing them from wireless and now it works. I am not really sure why this is the case since wired
users can hit the OWA server fine.... So while this is partially resolved it's not fully. (Also droids still won't work on the old server but not super concerned since moving them to the new makes it work. Would be nice to get fixed but won't freak if not).
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Hi C-M,
Glad to hear you got the resolution, although it seems weird.
Some information about upgrading the activesync to exchange 2010.
