Which prepare switches run on specific servers? Regards & Thanks

Are all these DCs in single AD site? If so, you can run all switches on any of DC or a member server. Requirement is PrepareSchema switch reuiqres to run on a server which is in the same AD site where Schema Master role is available. Hi Amith, Thanks for the promt reply. All servers running on Same AD site I will run PrepareSchema on DC4 and rest of other switches will run on DC1. Am i right ? If i will move exchange installation to another site do i need to run all switches on that site ? Regards & Thanks ChinthakaChinthaka

That would be fine, even you can choose any other member server also to run all these switches in same AD site :) No you don't have to run these switches to prepare your AD again in different site, it is one time process unless you didn't prepare all domain. If you have multiple Domains then you may need to run PrepareDomain:<FQDN of domain> or PrepareAllDomain from DC1...Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
