Deploy Beta SP1 Client Access Server for OWA PF access without schema updates
Hi,
I've got a customer holding back on an Exchange 2007 deployment due to the missing Public Folder access via OWA 2007. Does anybody know of a workaround, whereby I can use the OWA from an SP1 Beta Client Access Server? I've read that MS do not recommend deploying SP1 Beta in a production environment as it makes schema changes (andthat it should only betested in a test environment), however, I thought it might be possible to copy over the relevant code from a test environment without the schema updates, etc.
TIA,
Al

Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't believe this is possible. I a 90% sure that it is not just a case of using the new management console to get the new features but that the underlying pieces are just not there in RTM.
I guess they will just have to wait a few more months if it really is critical to have the GUI.
Sorry

Hi Nathan,
I think you may have misread the question. I don't need Public Folder Management from a GUI, I can do this from an Exchange 2003 System Manager, Powershell, or an Outlook client. The USERS need access via Outlook Web Access to Public Folder content. As OWA is basically *just* a web site, I thought I might be able to copy across the web site from an SP1 Beta 2 server to a non-SP1 productive server
TIA,
Al

Are yes, oops!
Sorry.
In that case, I am not sure. I believe the same principal applies but just not sure. Sorry not to be more help.
Cheers
