Departmental Mailing Lists

Hi,

Is there a way to email an Active Directory group without creating a shared inbox?

So for example we've got a Active Directory Group called "Marketing" and would like to be able to email all the users within that group, however we'd prefer not to have to setup a shared mailbox.

Thanks

Can you just not convert the group to a distribution list in Exchange?

Hi,

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:

If you want to send messages to this Active Directory Group, the group should be mail enabled. If not, you can't send messages to it. Note that the AD group type should be universal, only a universal group can be mail-enabled.

Hope my clarification can be helpful to you.
