Delivery is delayed to these recipients or distribution lists:
We stood up 2007 Exchange Servers into a 2003 environment. Only a few boxes are on the 2007 server. It has been up and running without issue for about 2/3 weeks but now suddently everyone is starting to get the error below which are being send from the 2007 server. However the messages are being delivered and it is not domain specific - its happening ramdomly. Any thoughts? Check for your public IP or your domain name listed in Black list of spammers. Try to have proper DNS (including reverse PTR)and SPF recordsRaj

I would ask you to check the Connector Configuration on EX2007 server and also to run EXPTA to make sure everything looks good EXPTAVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Hi Eiram, To check if your domain is put in the blacklist, you can check it with the link below. http://www.robtex.com/rbl/ http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx At the same time, I suggest you enable logging at your send connector. Then check the log to see if you could find some clues. Thanks, Elvis

I have tried all of your recommendations. We are not blacklisted. It seems to be happening randomly stillactually some mail is not reaching the the destinations. However it is working at this present time with out issue. When using the Exchange Trouble shoot assistance the only result I get is; 4.4.7: The message in the queue has expired. The sending server tried to relay or deliver the message, but the action was not completed before the message expiration time occurred. Connectors are configured correctly. DNS records are correct. oh I failed to mention that these messages are only coming from the clientswhose boxes are on the 2007 exchange server. The clients onthe 2003 exchange servers are not having this issue.

Hi Eiram, Since this is an intermittent issue, I suggest you keep on monitoring the issue. Please enable send connector logging, when the issue occurs, check the log to see if it can shed your some light there. If the issue is reproducible, you can also upgrade the event log level and then check the event log. Set-EventLogLevel -Identity " MSExchangeTransport\TransportService" -Level High Set-EventLogLevel -Identity " MSExchangeTransport\Routing" -Level High Set-EventLogLevel -Identity " MSExchangeTransport\SmtpSend " -Level High Set-EventLogLevel -Identity " MSExchangeTransport\RemoteDelivery" -Level High Set-EventLogLevel -Identity " MSExchangeTransport\Components" -Level High Thanks, Elvis
