Delivery failure error messages.
I workfor a secondary education institution. We currently installed Exchange 2007 Ent with ForeFront. Whenstaff or a studentgo to our outsourced website and purchase an item they are supposed to get a delivery email that verifies their order. Here is what I get when I did some testing: Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: ljgross@umary.eduAn error occurred while trying to deliver this message to the recipient's e-mail address. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator. Diagnostic information for administrators: Generating server: cgmail.mbsbooks.com ljgross@umary.edu#< #5.0.0> #SMTP# Original message headers: Received: from [172.27.0.12] (HELO chiws1a) by cgmail.mbsbooks.com(CommuniGate Pro SMTP 4.1) with ESMTP id 48176676 for ljgross@umary.edu;Wed, 31 Dec 2008 09:26:27 -0600MIME-Version: 1.0As you can see it is not giving me a lot of info. I asked if the site was blacklisting us and they said no. I had an employee for the company send me an email and it came. Any ideas?

For such mail flow testing, use Microsoft's Remote connectivity analyzer site: https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/If you receive the mail during testin, you can be sure, that mail flow to your domain is fine.+Ravi

Dear customer: The last delivery error is either a per-message error received during a command like "mail from" or an aggregate of the recipient errors. To get even more detailed information on a particular message run: $m=get-message <MessageIdentity> -IncludeRecipientInfo $m.Recipients | fl Also, you can use mail flow troubleshooter in toolbox to analyze the issue. Enable protocol logging, connectivity logging, message tracking log, and reproduce the issue. Send these log files to v-rocwan@microsoft.com for analyze. For more information about how to enable them, please refer to the following article: How to Configure Protocol Logging http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124531.aspx How to Configure Connectivity Logging http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996827.aspx How to Configure Message Tracking http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997984.aspx note: when you send e-mail to me, please let me know the subject of the post.
