Delivery Report Email Showing Big (MBytes) Size

Dear All,

I am having issue in delivery report email size in Exchange 2013 CU3 environment. If we send email, regardless of plain text or html type, with attachment having X MB size, and using delivery receipt option, the delivery report email also has the same X MB size. I have tested by sending email on Outlook 2013 RTM, Outlook 2010 SP2, and OWA Environment. All tests give the same result, the same size of delivery report email and email sent. Read receipt email size is still normal, around 10 KBytes.

In Exchange 2010, I found delivery report size will not exceed 20 KBytes.

This Exhange 2013 environment is upgraded from Exchange 2010.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi

Is this for one user or multiple users?

Hi,

How is the impact, just one user or all users?

If just one has this issue, it should be an issue on the Outlook Client side.

Please run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs, add-ins and firewall.

Please re-create new profile to refresh the caches.

Feel free to contact me if there is any problem.

Thanks

Mavis

Hi

This case is for single and multiple users. Either sending to single or multiple users, resulting get the big size on each delivery report size. Since this case is also occured while sending email with attachment using OWA, I think re-create new Outlook profile could be discarded as a solution.

Hi,

we have the exact same problem using Exchange 2013 CU7.

-It affects multiple users.

-The delivery report recieved is the same size as the mail that was send out.

-When sending a e-mail with attachment to both internal as external recipients, only the reports for the internal recipients are just as big as the mail send out. For the external recipients a small 23KB delivery report is recieved.

Running Outlook in safe mode does not seem to fix it.
