Deliver new mail to the following location option in OCT don't take effect

I was customize outlook 2010 profile via OCT.

Everything is ok but the "Deliver new mail to the following location" option on the "Add Accounts" tab of OCT doesn't take effert.

I set "Deliver new mail to the following location" to a .pst location and remain the user's Exchange account as the default e-mail account.

After I deploy the office to the clients and start the outlook client first time, all new mails still deliver to the .ost file (.pst file was also created on the defined location)and view the outlook profile, the location for receiving new messages has not change to the .pst location.

So,how could I configure this option to work?

Hi

I have tried in my computer and the configuration did not work either.

We might also change default location for pst file:

ForcePSTPath Registry value

Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\<version>\Outlook

Value name: ForcePSTPath

Value type: REG_EXPAND_SZ

Value: path to your storage folder

As the Value you give the path to the folder where you want to keep your pst-files. You do not need to use quotes for this path, even if it contains spaces.

Example; D:\My Documents\Outlook

Outlook will now use this path by default when creating a new pst-file or when connecting to an existing pst-file.

Note 1: Changing this key does not move any existing connected pst-files to this path; youll have to change that manually.

Note 2: Do not set the path to a network location as this is not supported nor recommended by Microsoft as it could lead to slow performance, data corruption or even data loss. Also keep this in mind in case your My Documents folder is being redirected to a network share.

Hi Tylor, thank you for your reply but the thing I want to do is that all messages could automatically transfer to the .pst file without manually configure the outlook profile client by client.

Did I miss something to configure in OCT or is there have some other method to achieve this ?

Can anyone help?
