Deleting orphaned re-occuring meetings from multiple resource calendars
Hello, We're running Exchange 2007 with Outlook 2003 clients, we have several resource mailboxes for conference rooms, when a user leaves and is removed form Exchange/AD any reoccuring appointments (that are auto-accepted by the resource) remain in the resource calendar and in attendees calendars. After extensive Googling and investigating it seems the only way to clear these is to manually open the resource mailbox and delete said appointment, then have attendees also delete appointments from their own calendar. But this relies on you knowing (or someone telling you) which appointment is orphaned, or you go through all resources removing any reoccuring appointments with an ex-employee as the organzier, both methods impractical and time consuming. Can anyone confirm if this is correct, or let me know if they've found an easier method for purging these orphaned appointments?

Would like to also know if anyone has a solution for this. Best idea we have is to limit the length of time a reoccuring meeting can be booked so that, if there's an orphan, at least it eventually resolves itself. Seems like a script could be written run against all resources to see if the creator is in the address book still.
