Deleted user in Exchange 2003
A month or so ago I deleted a user from AD and removed their mailbox. Now when sending a meeting request to a specific user I get a response saying that the deleted user does not have an email address on this server. Conny N***** on 1/24/2007 4:54 PM The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address. <acvbnt04.********.org #5.1.1> I went to workstation and check the calendar on the users outlook and cannot find any properties that show the above user that was deleted. She was one of several people included in a group. Any Ideas how I clean this up? Thanks Ray

Is this problem occur with a single user or is it organization wide. If it is a single user try recreating their profile. Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/284204and look for error code 5.1.1

any user who emails a meeting request to the CEO gets this response. His email works fine otherwise. I thought about restoring the deleted user from backup and then see if I can find where any instance of her is located then be able to remove completely but I was not sure if the SID would be the same. or not. She was on a group email distribution list and when I removed her it should have removed all instances of her account.

Open the group up and see if she is in there. Another thing to do is to check and see if she is still in the GAL or some list.

It was the delegate function where I found what was left of the deleted user. Removed it and all is well Thanks again Jay for your help.
