Delete spam mail in various user accounts ---- Help
Not the brighest thing I have done. When I installed my GFI anti-spam product I moved spam mails into the "inbox/possible spam" folder. Now I have 500 accounts with about 1000 mails each sitting in the 'possible spam' folder.I need a method to delete all messages in this sub-folder, again it's a sub-folder of the inbox. I am running exchange 2003. Any ideas ? sjepsen@sd161.org

Short of some custom programming, I don't know how to get rid of the folder itself. You could use the E2K3 "mailbox management" feature to purge the folder, though. You would have to add the folder name "Possible Spam" as one of the folders to manage, though. Just be careful that before you run it that you are absolutely sure the criteria (date/age and size) for each folder that you have.

I tried and it seems to be working, using a receipt policy. Although I don't like the filter feature. I setup the policy to run only ona select account and when it ran it processed about 15 accounts, almost at random. Lucky, it purged the correct folder as one of the accounts it processed was mine. I will lok into the e2k3 product for more tools. Thanks for the reply
