Delete content of archive mailbox only

Dears,

is there any way to delete the content of archive mailbox only for specific users.

i'm using search-mailbox -delete content  but it will delete the archive mailbox with the operational mailbox.

Thanks

could you try something like below?
Get-Mailbox <user> -Archive | Search-Mailbox <Criteria> -deletecontent
Thanks,

Did Jason's suggestion work for you?

If not our DigiScope product could easily do that for you with our Search OnFind action i.e.

1. Connect DS to Archive MB

2. Create a search without criteria which would find everything and set the OnFind from the default of DISPLAY to DELETE or PURGE.

3. Submit the search and its will delete or purge all data.  If desired you can also have it export to PST before deletion/purge of the data

Dear  JasonApt

your suggestion will delete the archive mailbox and the operational mailbox, not just the content of the archivemailbox.

If you want to delete *all* the content in an archive, why not simply delete the archive then re-enable it for that mailbox.

Good point and technically if you were to dismount the archive, delete the physical arched EDB from disk and then remount the DB to create a new one you wouldn't even have to re-enable archiving correct?
