Delegate Permissions Editor versus Author
When setting up a Delegate, what is the difference between setting up a user as an 'EDITOR' versus an 'AUTHOR'? I understand that the Editor can 'modify items' whereas an Author cannot, but what exactly would those modifications be?David H

Hello, with the rights of an Editor you not only can change items but also delete every single item, not only the items you have created. Greetings, Toni

Hi David, Author With Author permission, as a delegate, you can read and create items, and modify and delete items you create. For example, a delegate can create task requests and meeting requests directly in the manager's Task or Calendar folder, and then send either item on the manager's behalf. Editor With Editor permission, as a delegate, you can do everything an Author can do, plus modify and delete the items the manager created. Best Regards!

I'm assuming then that folder permissions trump permissions at the Delegate level? Also, Can an Author delete, move, respond to incoming requests such as email messages? I'm in the process of changing how we manage a general mailbox where there's not a 'owner' per se. David H

Since we're dealing with an Inbox (eg info@abcliquors.com), can a Publishing Author move the mailitems from the Inbox to an existing Sub Folder?David H
