Delayed Delivery messages after CCR failover.
After performing a CCR failover our users received a large number of "Delivery Delayed" messages. The notifications were all for emails that had already been sent and delivered. The environment is Exchange 2007 SP2. Both nodes are in the same site. This is the second time this has happened when doing a CCR failover so I would really like to understand what is causing this. Thank you, Kenny Stern

This sounds like exactly what I've seen except that we have the MaxDumpsterPerStorageGroup set to 75 MB. The article says the problem would occur if it was set to 2 GB or more. I also don't think we've had any duplicates, just DSNs. Still the best explanation I've seen so far though. Thanks a lot.

Another option would be to disable delayed delivery notifications during any scheduled maintence with set-transportserver and the InternalDelayDsnEnabled/ ExternalDelayDSNEnabled switch.
