How many member does the group have? What is the organization config? If the group is really big and the mailflow in the organization is pretty intensive you may want to explicitly set one of the HUB servers as the expansion server.MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSA | Blog http://ehlo.me

PFA is the screeshot of the error that i send while sending email to the group, What's the selection criteria for the DDL? How large is the AD forest (i.e. how many mail- and mailbox-enabled objects does it contain)? Does the selection criteria also include static groups that must be expanded? Are the selection criteria using only properties that are indexed, thus avoiding the need to examine every object in the scope? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

this "dynamic distribution group" will send email to the entire domain ... approx 1500 users and DL as-well

I'd guess that your inclusion of other DLs (which may have other DLs as members) is probably the reason things take longer. Each of those DLs has to be expanded. You're probably also sending lots more e-mail than you intend to since each of the members of those DLs will get multiple copies of the message. You can see that duplication in the Exchange 2007/2010 message tracking logs (they appear as duplicate deliveries). I don't remember E2K3 having that same feature. Is there a reason you include Distribution Groups in that DDL? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

The one with all the 250 2.1.5 RESOLVER.GRP.Expanded items in it. Is there more information on each line, like the name of the group that's expanded? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
