Delay message delivery for few minutes/hrs in exchange 2007
Hi, If I want to delay the delivery of message/s for few minutes/hours for all the users, how can it be done in Exchange 2007. Idea is to delay the message is, most of the time users send the mail by mistake to wrong recipient and come to us asking, is it possible to stop the message. Any suggestion ? Thanks Suresh

Hi Suresh,In Exchange 2003 you can configure SMTP connector for scheduling delivery of emails and you can make delay. But in Exchange 2007 it is not possible to hold mails or schedule a delivery time on Send Connector unless you develop custom transport agent.References on Transport Agents:Transport Agenthttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa579185.aspxHow to write Exchange 2007 transport agentshttp://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/12/04/431755.aspxI would suggest you to post a query inDevelopmentForumto get assistance from developers if you want to write custom transport agent.Microsoft TechNet>Forums Home>Exchange Server>DevelopmentAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
