Delagate Room Calendar issue

Hi ! my first post ill try to give as much info as I can but its a rather confusing issue.

there are 3 people

meeting maker

meeting attendee

and room manager

you request a meeting in room A with meeting maker and attendee going to the meeting. It goes in tentative and the room manager gets a email to approve and they do and all is well in the world. BUT then the room is needed by someone else who has clients coming in so your meeting is put off ! so the room manager deletes your meeting you get a email to say its been done but meeting attendee is sitting outside the room like a idiot why I hear you ask.

well it looks like when we book a meeting room its going as an attendee to the meeting so when you delete it the email the booker gets is that the "boardroom is no longer attending your meeting" rather than this meeting was cancelled

anyone know any way round this?

I think the meeting manager probably deleting the meeting from his calendar rather than cancelling the meeting. When the meeting has been cancelled from the outlook it will ideally trigger a notifications to all the meeting members involved. does it makes sense?

Hi thanks for the reply

the room manager has no option to cancel only to delete the meeting :( the only person that is able to "cancel" is the organiser.

We need to be able to cancel peoples meetings for them as Delegates of the room calendar and once you have approved it appears to make the room an attendee
