Defrag vs. Mailbox move
My understanding is the preferred method is the mailbox move when regaining white space. It seems like a lot of people still use the eseutil utility. Is that individuals who are not able to use the mailbox move procedure? I have Windows 2003 Enterprise and have about 18 GB of white space I need to recover.

If you have the space in other databases then I would suggest moving the Mailbox's. The key reason why a lot of people like moving mailbox's instead of using eseutil is because of the downtime it takes to run the defrag.ThanksWill

I don't have any extra space currently. I plan to add an drive on a new array. Create a new store, move all the mailboxes over, remove the old store and move the new store back. Then remove the temporary drive.
