Default Offline Address List Distribution Points
I transistioned from an Exchange 2003 server to Exchange 2007. During the transition I initially ran the two servers together and eventually took the 2003 server offline. when this was complete I started to have problems with the web based distribution of the offline address list. I attempted to enable this feature by clicking the check box to "enable web-based distribution on the properties window for the default offline address list. However, this feature was grayed out and unavailable. So, to remedy the problem I created a new offline address list named "2007 offline address list", set it to be the default OAB and enabled the web based distribution for it. I kept the original "default offline address list" just in casee. However, now I get the following messages in my event log daily:Event ID: 9331OALGen encountered error 80004005 (internal ID 50101ee) accessing the public folder store while generating the offline address list for address list '/'. - Default Offline Address List Event ID: 9335 OALGen encountered error 80004005 while cleaning the offline address list public folders under /o=Starlite Organization/cn=addrlists/cn=oabs/cn=Default Offline Address List. Please make sure the public folder store is mounted and replicas exist of the offline address list folders. No offline address lists have been generated. Please check the event log for more information. Should I just delete the system generated "default offline address list"? Or, is there a way to setup web-based distribution on this despite the option being unavaible through the GUI?

Hi,Did you move the generated server for the OAB from the Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007? If the OAB generation server still is resided on Exchange 2003, that will cause the Web-based distribution option to be greyed out.To confirm the generation server of OAB, please run the command get-offlineaddressbook |fl in the EMS, check the Server parameter. For the two error message as regard to the new offline address book, please refer to the below article:http://blogs.msdn.com/dgoldman/archive/2006/10/15/generating-a-newly-created-offline-address-book-fails-with-errors-9331-and-9335.aspxThanksAllen
