Hi, After someone deleted the default global address list, i recreated it manually using adsiedit. I have double checked the permissions and Authenticated Users have read rights and also open address list. But when i try to create a new profile it errors out: the bookmark is not valid

What version of Exchange is this? You should create the default Global Address list within Exchange native tool management not ADSIedit.
