Decommissioning one Exchange server
Hello, I have a question about decommissioning an Exchange Server (Exchange 2003). We have commissioned a new E-mail Server (Exchange 2007) in its place, and we would like to decommission the old one. What things should we consider in this process? We have moved mailboxes to the new server. Can we move public folders to the new Exchange Server? Recipient policies? What other items should be moved before fully decommissioning the old mail server? I would like any help with this, especially any useful KB articles. Thank you.
