Dead Exchange 2007 OWA server
Hello, I recently had an exchange 2007 OWA server running on windows 2008 server crash. I no longer need this server but would like to remove the AD objects associated with it. Can this be done without reinstalling exchange 2007 using the RecoverServer switch? Thanks...

The correct way would be to load up a VM and run setup.exe /recoverserver, but you can also use AD and ADSIEdit...here is a forum link to the solution: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrmigration/thread/1bb2c9a6-2a3d-41e5-a264-0748bf67c29f/ I'd recommend using the RecoverSwitch option as the ADSI option can be very risky and cause more damage than good. ^ Agrees with Jorge setup.com /recoverserver is the only supported way to do this... :)
