Database status is 'Dirty Shutdown'
Hello,This morning we discovered one of our databases was dismounted. We tried to mount the database but received an error stating the database was not shut down correctly (going by memory...) basically the database status was 'dirty shutdown'. Long story short I was able to salvage the database with the help of the Database Recovery Management analysis tool and life is back to normal. My question is what causes this? (Actually management would like to know what caused this?) The only thing I can find was in the System log :Cluster resource 'SGXX/DBXX (Mailserver)' in Resource Group 'Mailserver' failed. The actual database is under 80GB and we have plenty of diskpace so I know that’s not an issue.Any idea on what/where to look?

Those 2 above errors shouldnt have caused that. I would follow up on that cluster error. Any power or 3rd party software problems?

Fine.. I don't think these event id's can cause a store to go down.!!
